Jun 13th 2009
An unidentified driver was airlifted to St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Oxnard on Sunday after losing control on the Pacific Coast Highway, California Highway Patrol officials said.
The driver was traveling alone on PCH at Thornhill Broome Ranch just before 7:15 p.m. when he or she lost control of the vehicle, overturned and went over the railing, CHP dispatcher Rebekah Wayatt said.
As of Sunday, officials were still investigating what direction the driver was traveling and what could have caused the driver to lose control, Wayatt said. No other vehicles were involved in the incident, Wayatt said.
