Okay. Today my friend J, from work, discovered a site that I think you will find extremely neat. It is the California State Controllers Office, and within that site there is a link for Unclaimed Property (generally money). All you do is type in a last name into the search field and if you are so inclined, a first name, and check to see if there are any unclaimed monies owed to you or your loved ones. I found $63 for my boyfriend and around $150 for one of my uncles. Once you find that there is money owed to you, Simply fill out the form and mail it in and a check will come back to you in 4-6 weeks. How cool is that? I encourage everyone to head on over there and see if you are listed. It is updated continually so don't be discouraged if you are not there now. Bookmark the site and next month may be a whole different story. Happy Hunting!
